STEP4WIND final meeting

The final meeting after four years of our project couldn’t have taken place in any other place but in the beautiful, sunny Florence with the vibes of the Torque2024 conference hanging in the air. Our 10 PhDs have brought valuable insights to the table for further research on floating wind energy. Not nly have they managed to stick around until the end of the project but they also built up a remarkable bond with each other, extremely unique for a project that started off in a global pandemic! 10 PhDs that will now start off applying their knowledge and experience in the industry or share it with others through further academic work. None of this was possible without the great help of our partners and great supervisors in the project from Politecnico di Milano, University College Cork, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Delft University of Technology, MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands), ÉireComposites Teo, and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
